Ethnic minority research group tours IMU

 

A research group checks the collection, management, preservation and digitalization of ancient books written in the Mongolian language at Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot, the capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on March 5.

A research group from the State Ethnic Affairs Commission conducted a survey on ethnic unity and specialist education for minority groups at Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in Hohhot, the capital of North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on March 5.

The group examined the collection, management, preservation and digitalization of ancient books written in the Mongolian language, while also meeting with IMU leaders for a discussion on Mongolian studies and minority students.

They later visited the IMU Museum of Ethnology to check the university’s collection of artifacts related to the region’s minorities.

Members of the group appreciated IMU's achievements in ethnic affairs and also gave some suggestions for further development.
